Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Cyber Digital Forensics Response, operating the Data Retrieval brand ("we", "us", "our"), collects and uses personal
information of job applicants who contact us through our Facebook Page "Data Retrieval Careers", through Facebook Messenger, through WhatsApp, or by email.
1. Who we are
Cyber Digital Forensics Response, 4400 Renaissance Pkwy Unit 1, Warrensville Heights, OH 44128, United States. For any question about this
policy or about your personal data, contact us at [email protected].
2. What information we collect
When you contact us about a job opening, we may collect:
- your name and public profile information as provided to us by the messaging platform;
- a platform-scoped user identifier assigned by Meta, used only to continue your conversation;
- the content of the messages you exchange with us;
- information you volunteer during pre-screening, such as your country of residence,
the position you are applying for, your self-assessed English level, your work
schedule availability, and your professional experience; - contact details you choose to provide, such as your WhatsApp phone number and email address;
- your CV or resume, if you send one.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, financial account details, government identification numbers, health information, or other sensitive personal data during pre-screening.
3. Automated messaging
Initial pre-screening conversations on Facebook Messenger are handled by an automated assistant. The assistant identifies itself as automated at the start of the conversation. A human recruiter reviews qualified conversations and may join the chat at any point. No hiring decision is made solely by automated means: a human recruiter and, at the final stage, the business owner review every candidate.
4. Why we use your information
- to assess whether you meet the requirements of the position you applied for;
- to communicate with you about your application and arrange interviews;
- to keep a record of the recruitment process;
- to comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing purposes.
5. Who we share it with
We share your information only with service providers that help us operate the recruitment process, and only to the extent necessary. These include providers of
messaging platforms, cloud storage, workflow automation, and the automated assistant described above. These providers process the data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where required by law.
6. How long we keep it
We retain recruitment correspondence and application materials for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, so that we can consider you for future openings. After that period the data is deleted. You may ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
7. Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. See also our Data Deletion Instructions.
8. Security
We use access controls and reputable service providers to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to guard against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
9. Children
Our recruitment process is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and information you send us is processed there and in other countries where our service providers operate. By contacting us you understand that your information will be transferred and processed in these locations.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this address, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
